The Real Benefits for Users on ExploreTECH

Since the launch of ExploreTECH on 02-02-2022, we've had a lot of conversations with with both professionals in the Hospitality and Travel industry, as well as many with suppliers for technology.  Naturally, one of the most common conversations is around what the exact benefits are for both these groups of people. 

 

Instead of listing these in a similar manner of what can already be seen on our homepage, let's go through some real life examples of before and after. 

Example #1 



Before:


An independent hotel is having trouble with guest communication prior, during and after the stay of their guests. This results in missed opportunities to upsell to their guests, issues with guests during stays are not resolved quick enough and the connection to this guest is lost over time which leads to a lack of return business.


The management has heard of solutions which allow for upselling, but they don't have any colleagues of connections in the industry who can refer them directly to a vendor they can trust, nor do they have the knowledge of which solutions are compatible with their current technology, as their IT management has no experience with this. 

 

After:


Someone from management in the hotel registers their profile on ExploreTECH as an independent hotels. They complete their profile by filling all the information about their technology stack, in terms of what PMS they use, what booking engine and channel manager they currently have. 


From their user dashboard on ExploreTECH, they will see exactly which solutions for upselling, guest apps for in-hotel communication and a CRM for post stay communication with the guest. They will know if the upselling tools available are integrated with the booking engine and PMS, as this is what the technical specifications section on the profile of the upselling tool mentioned is a must have to function properly. 


They contact all the technology suppliers directly via the ExploreTECH platform, saving them bunch of time trying to locate the right sales contact person. They will know what to expert in terms of pricing models as this has already been mentioned on the profiles of the products. 

Massive amounts of time in terms of research was saved, new solutions unknown before were discovered, a comprehensive vendor comparison was done and no mishaps were encountered with solutions which do not integrate to each other correctly.  



Example #2 

 

Before:


A luxury travel agent and concierge company wants to know if in stead of managing their travel desk in terms of bookings via their GDS platform, and the rest of the process manually, if there is an all in one system which can manage all or most of their manual activities today. 


Since they have no knowledge of this internally, about what systems exist and how to implement them, they ask around with some industry colleagues and friends but nobody can really provide a clear answer, also because competition in this sector is strong and people would rather not reveal too many inside business mechanics which work well.

 

After:


The management of this luxury travel agent reaches out to a consultancy from the "Voice of the Experts" of ExploreTECH, to discuss the issues they are facing and hear about possible solutions. This subject matter expert has vast experience dealing with solutions, having either worked on the vendor side and dealt with implementations or has handled many of these requests before and done prior research to discover what works and what does not. 


This voice of the expert is totally objective and unbiased, the management can trust that whatever they are informed about is not to pitch a certain solution but to really provide guidance and advisory services towards a better end result.
Weeks if not months are saved in terms of research, and by building their profile within ExploreTECH they can find which solutions they have been advised about are compatible with their existing tech stack, or which features are added in case they decide to change their booking platform completely. They also don't have to wonder how to get in touch with the solutions providers as this is done directly via the ExploreTECH platform.
